Hi there! Welcome to my own lil nook and cranny of the world. I love writing and people and laughing. Blogging allows for me to enjoy all of the above simultaneously.
I teach ‘big kids’.
I love ‘little kids’. Laughing with them. Learning with them. Dancing with them (they won’t judge my 2 left feet!). They remind me of Jesus. They remind me of sinners. They are good for my soul.
True Fact: I grew up wanting to be Anne Shirley of Green Gables — red haired, freckled, spunky with brains. I in turn, have black hair, 5 freckles (sad, but true) and am very much scatter-brained
I love everything and anything music.. singing, writing, playing.
I love the arts and entertainment. I took a survey once and it listed me as 30% left-brained and 70% right-brained. Makes sense. It’s possibly also a disaster in the making!
True fact: I’m very much Tigger meets Eeyore.. wrapped in the package of Sheryl.
Social justice. It is more than what I do. It is who I am. Orphans. I have a heavy heart for adoption.
I grew up in a missionary home. I love everything about it — the colors, tastes, and smells.
I prefer the outdoors over the indoors. When I’m not eating a cookie, I’m known to be a health junkie *grins*. I love all things green. My family is ridiculously kooky and I LOVE it. I wouldn’t change it for the world. My ideal day consists of my guitar in hand and journal out, sippin’ on a cup o’ green tea and reading a GOOD book.
Jesus is my life. I’m nothing here apart from Him. So, whether it’s talking or laughing, blogging or singing, watching the Flyers make it happen or tripping over my clumsy self ..I’m trying to live this life for Him.
